Apple is giving an easier way to discover and access new apps with a feature called App.

  1. Although Mac OS Mojave beta is released, many users have updated their systems. If you want to update your system to macOS 10.14, we recommend that you first back up your macOS computer for errors that may occur.
  2. Apple has released the latest macOS Mojave 10.14.6 Final Update (Build 18G103) for Mac devices. The latest Xcode 10.3 Final Update (Build 10G8) has also been released for macOS-powered computers and laptops.
  3. You can only upgrade to Mojave via the App Store, launch the App Store and then click on the Featured page, click on the Mojave Simply Powerful banner and you will then be taken to a page where you can download the full installer (4.9GBs) for Mojave which installs version 10.14.1.

By virtue of smartphone units sold in Q1 2020, Vivo is the sixth leading vendor in the world with a market share of 7%. According to a Counterpoint Research, this equates to over 21 million units shipped in the said period.

Despite its solid position in the top 10 list of smartphone vendors in the world, Vivo might not be known to many people in the west. For a quick intro, Vivo is the company that pioneered the in-display fingerprint scanning tech on your current phone.

The company is also at the heart of several other smartphone innovations, but that's not the purpose of this article. Here, we talk about the company's software update escapades, more so the latest Vivo Android 10 update that brings Funtouch OS 10 to eligible devices.

Vivo Android 10 update (Funtouch OS 10)

Similar to a few other Android vendors, Vivo also registered three devices into the beta program of Android Q, namely Vivo X27, Vivo NEX S, and Vivo NEX A. However, these devices are yet to receive the stable Funtouch OS 10 update (as of June 4).

Matter of fact, Vivo still has a long way to go as far as the stable Android 10 update is concerned. Most devices are still testing the beta version with an expected release of the stable OTA somewhere in Q2 and Q3 2020.

As of this writing, these are the devices that have received the stable Vivo Android 10 update so far:

Note that this list isn't complete. As mentioned earlier, Vivo still has some work to do in terms of upgrading its devices to Android 10. We will keep an eye on the rollout and update this article as and when we get news.

Update 14 (July 28)

Update 15 (July 31)

Unfortunately, it seems that the Vivo V9 Youth will not be getting the Android 10 (Funtouch OS 10) update citing stability and compatibility concerns according to a Vivo representative. See the full story here.

Update 16 (August 8)

According to a couple of comments posted by Vivo on Facebook, it appears that the Android 10 (FunTouch OS 10) update for the Vivo V15 has been released and is currently under greyscale testing. See the full story here.

Update 17 (August 12)

Vivo appears to have released the Android 10 update for the Vivo V11 Pro in India. This new update comes as version 8.7.11 and is apparently under greyscale testing. We expect to see a wider rollout begin shortly. See the full story here.

Update 18 (August 18)

The Android 10 update for the Vivo S1, S1 Pro, V11 Pro, V15 Pro and Z1Pro is still under greyscale testing according to the company. Further, it has not provided details as to when users can expect to see the stable update rollout. See more details on the matter here.

Update 19 (September 04)

IST 06:38 pm: According to Vivo India on Twitter, the company has already released the stable Android 10 update for the Vivo S1 Pro in the country. However, there aren't many user reports confirming the rollout. For more details, head here.

IST 06:53 pm: It appears that Vivo has also re-released the stable Android 10 update for the Vivo Z1Pro. The new update comes as version 6.10.5 and weighs in at 144.72 MBs for Vivo Z1Pro users who installed the previous Android 10 update and 3.1GB for users coming from Android 9 Pie. IST 03:01 pm: Vivo has now listed the Funtouch OS 10 (Android 10) update package for the Vivo Z1 Pro on their website. Thus, in case you wish to install the update afresh on your device, you can do so by heading here.

Update 21 (September 23)

IST 04:03 pm: New reports suggest that Vivo has begun rolling out the Android 10 update for the Vivo S1 in India. The update is available over-the-air as version 6.12.2 with a download size of 3.37 GB. For more details, head here.

IST 04:32 pm: In a turn of events, it now seems that the Vivo V9 will not be getting the Android 10 update. Well, at least not anytime soon. This comes from a tweet by Vivo India stating that the device is stable with the current Android version and thus Vivo has not planned to update it yet.

Update 23 (September 26)

IST 04:00 pm: Responding to a vivo Y15 user on Twitter, vivo support has said that there's no Android 10 update planned for the device at the moment. Here's what the company support exactly said:

Hello, we appraise your requirements and thankful for it. The vivo Y15 handset is much stable with the current Android version, for now, hence we have not planned to update it yet. However, to ensure your best experience, we will keep updating the Funtouch OS version as always

Update 24 (September 28)

IST 01:44 pm: Apparently, Vivo has still not released the Android 10 update for the Vivo Y17. Further, the company's official Twitter handle for India has stated that Vivo has not planned to update the device yet.

The response is similar to that of the Vivo Y15 we reported on September 26. Thus, it's possible that Vivo may be planning to drop Android 10 support for certain devices even though they are eligible for the update.

IST 12:48 pm: It appears that Vivo has begun rolling out the Android 10 update alongside Funtouch OS 10 as version 8.8.2 with a download size of 3.26 GB. A few users (1, 2, 3) have also confirmed receiving the update on Twitter.

Open the Go menu and choose Go To Folder. Then type in ~/Library/Caches. Locate the folder com.apple.appstore. And delete it. Open the Go menu again and choose Go To Folder. Type in /private/var/folders, and then open each of this folder and each subfolder in order to locate the folder com.apple.appstore, and then delete this folder. Restart the Mac. But if the macOS 10.14 update is still not showing in Mac App Store, then proceed to the next step.

7. Remove App Store Preferences

Open the Go menu and choose Go To Folder. Type in ~/Library/Preferences/com, and search for file com.apple.appstore.plist

Delete this file. Open the Go menu again and choose Go To Folder. Type in ~/Library/Preferences/com, and then search for the file com.apple.storeagent.plist

Delete this file, and then restart your Mac.
